Shirley Ann Patterson Jones, age 80, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 in the UT Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Jones was born in McCaysville, GA on July 18, 1935 to the late Dock Adam Patterson and Nancy Ellen Huddleston Patterson. She worked as a paraprofessional for 30 years in the Taylor School System in Michigan. She was a member of Copperhill UMC and a member of Flat Rock #156 Order of the Eastern Star in Michigan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Patterson; and two sisters, Irene Waters and Agnes McCay.She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Sam Jones of Mineral Bluff; son, Joe Jones of Mineral Bluff; daughter, Jeannene Welch of McCaysville; brothers, Dock Patterson, Jr. of LaCenter, WA, Chub Patterson of Blue Ridge, and Van Patterson of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Glouretta Hughes of Ducktown, TN; two grandchildren, Derek Jones and Raven Welch.Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Music was by Raven Welch. Pallbearers were Rhett Dennis, Ducie Waters, Grady Patterson, Jr., Trey Patterson, and Mike Hawkins. Interment followed in Mt.
