Shelia Watkins White, age 74, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Houston. She was born on April 22, 1949 in Higdon, Georgia. She worked for many years in the office of Exxon Oil Company in Houston, Texas after graduating from West Fannin High School in the class of 1967. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jimmy White; father, Frank James Watkins; and brother, Paul Herbert Watkins.

She is survived by her mother, Oslee Watkins Wilcox; daughter, Jennifer White (Lisa Smith); grandchildren, Alyssa Thomas and Kameron Thomas; brothers, Wayne Watkins (Mary) and Randall Watkins (Nancy); sister-in-law, Diane Watkins; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Watkins and Joel Collis. Interment followed in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randall Watkins, Wayne Watkins, Joel Collis, Kevin Watkins, Jason Watkins, and Jeff Davenport.
