Mrs. Shelby Jean Mealer, age 74, of Copperhill, TN passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN. She was born Monday, October 30, 1939 in Beckley, WV and was the daughter of the late Clarence Davis and Josie Barnett Davis. Mrs. Mealer was retired from Galaxy Carpet Mill and was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Mealer.Survivors are sons, Flafil Davis of Copperhill, TN, Roger Ledford of Ocoee, TN and Mark Drury of Cleveland, TN; sister, Sibuel Hughes of Copperhill, TN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; cousin, Danny Plemons of Copperhill, TN; many other family and friends.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Grassy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Pittman, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Drury, Jr., Tim Davis, Matt Hyatt and Cody Matthews. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
