Mrs. Sheila Gayle Stiles, age 66, of Murphy, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1955 to Rev. William Irvin Melton, II and Doris Jean White Melton. She worked for many years as a Special Education Aide for both Fannin and Copper Basin Schools. Sheila was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, and sister, Lisa Ann Melton. Sheila is survived by her husband of 21 years, Teddy Jack Stiles; daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Stacy Hughes and Stacy and Tommy Taylor; mother, Jean White Melton; grandchildren, Dakota (Victoria) Hughes, Kayla (Hunter) Robinson, Brady Hughes, Kiera Taylor, and Kyle Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hughes, Sydney Hughes, Sage Hughes, Eden Hughes, and Adeline Hughes; brother and sister-in-law, Irvin and Phyllis Melton; sisters, Melanie Pack and Mickey Fox; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Private funeral services were held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Howard officiating. Music was provided by Tammy and Andy Ware, and Russell and Peyton O'Neal. Interment followed in the Stiles Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dakota Hughes, Brady Hughes, Kyle Taylor, Stacy Hughes, Tommy Taylor, Irvin Melton, and Jackson Hughes.
