It is with our utmost sorrow and deepest grief that we announce that our beloved momma and wife, Sheila Mae Smith, has went to her heavenly home to be with Jesus. Sheila departed from this earth on Saturday, November 6, 2021 with her loved ones by her side at 58 years old. Sheila was born on September 6, 1963 in McCaysville, Georgia. Sheila is survived by her husband, Dwight, daughter, Heather, and son, Dylan. She is also survived by her older brother, Ricky, younger brother, Randy, and younger sister, Diane; as well as, nephews, Dewayne and Bryant Pope, and niece, Crystal. Sheila is also survived by grandchildren, Bryson, Brady, Carlyn, and Addyson Smith. She loved them with all her heart. They were her whole world, and she was so very proud of each of them. She is preceded in death by her daddy and momma, Randall and Iva Pope. She had been anxiously awaiting reuniting with them in Heaven with our Lord, Jesus. Sheila is remembered by her loved ones for being incredibly loving, compassionate, thoughtful, and with the sweetest nature. She was always praying for everyone. Sheila enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking with her grandbabies. She enjoyed sharing memories and stories of her parents and always kept them alive in the hearts of her family. Funeral services will take place at the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in her hometown of Blue Ridge, GA on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Sheila will be laid to rest, along side her daddy and momma, at her home church, in the Sunrise Tabernacle Cemetery.
