Mrs. Sheila Ophelia Jones, age 69, of Farner, TN, passed away on August 16, 2019, in the Hospice of Chattanooga. Born in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Hazel Juanita Lawless Moody. She was of the Christian Faith, loved spending time with her grandchildren and dogs, and working crossword puzzles. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Stephen Moody, Shirley Thackerson, Bobbie Depree; and one grandson, Daniel Eugene Teague. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Charles Jones of Farner, TN; children, Wanda Ogden of Dallas, NC, Ronnie Eugene Dunn of Farner, TN, Harry Daniel Cordell, Jr. of Dallas, NC and Sandra Juanita (Robert) Teague of Coker Creek, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Conner, Tony Conner, Kayla Buff, Josh Dunn, Erica Jordan, McKayla Brady McCurry, Marissa Dunn, Lacey Cordell, Kacy Cordell, Brandon Teague and Donna Teague; and several great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Music was by Lacey Cordell. Interment followed in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Neal, Eddie Allen, Robert Dalton, Travis Mason, Robert Stone, Tracey Mason and Monty Dalton.
