The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Shannon Lane Harris, age 35, of Mineral Bluff, GA who passed away Friday, November 19, 2010. Shannon was self-employed in construction and was a member of the Hot House Baptist Church.Shannon was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar Racing.He is survived by father, Gary Harris and friend Wanda Green of Mineral Bluff, GA; Mother, Linda Bell Williams and friend (Bones Stephens) Birchwood, TN; sister, Kimberly Harris Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL; Many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music will be by Melinda Briant and Vicki Bice. Pallbearers include Scotty Irons, Shannon Owensby, Jesse Cantrell, Stevie Cantrell, Ryan Watson and Andy Morrow. Honorary pallbearers include Britt Chapman, Danny Patterson, Josh Campbell, Terry Pittman and Tony Barton. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill (Airport Road) Cemetery.
