Selina Marie Brown, age 29, of McCaysville passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Selina was born on September 7, 1996 in Blairsville to Donald Edward Brown and Julia Mae Johnson Brown. She was recently baptized and became a member at the First Baptist Church of Epworth. Selina had a great sense of humor. She was a free spirit who loved to laugh and laugh with others. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and being a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews, who have fond memories of bicycling with her.

Selina is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lilah Addison Brown; mother, Julia Brown; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Bertha Johnson.

She is survived by her father, Donny (Lori Normylee) Brown; stepfather, Van Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Cassandra and Bradley Jessen; brother and sister-in-law, Marcus and Miranda Brown; nieces and nephews, Aurora Jessen, Ashlyn Jessen, and Parker Brown; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Chris Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
