Mrs. Sarah Geraldine Hicks, better known as "Gerry", age 85, passed away on December 31, 2022 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Stewart and Hazel Welch Cox. She had worked for a number of years for Shaw Industries. Gerry was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church; and loved riding her motorcycle, growing flowers and vegetables and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Camp; one son, Casey Shane Hicks; siblings, McArthur "Mackey" Cox, Clifford Cox, William "Bill" Cox, James "Jim" Cox, Gene Cox; a sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dottie" Cox.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Lloyd Hicks of the home; sons, Cody Hicks of McCaysville, GA and David Camp of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Michelle and Sandy Hodges of Soddy Daisey, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Lily Cox of Blue Ridge, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bradley Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters-in-law, Vida Cox of Blue Ridge and Lynn Cox of Blue Ridge; grandson, Tylor Hicks of Morganton, GA; great granddaughter, Lana Brooke Hicks; and any other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sugar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cody Hicks, Daniel Hicks, James Hyatt, Joey Cox, Adam Cruse and Stacy Dills.
