Sandra Thomas Jones, age 49 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at her residence. Sandra was born in Copperhill, TN on August 7, 1960 to the late Daniel Boone Thomas. She had worked in the Textile Industry. She was preceded in death by brother, Danny William Howard Thomas. She is survived by son, John Garren Jones of Epworth, GA; daughter, Dana Michelle Jones of Epworth, GA; mother, Imogene Thomas of Epworth, GA; brother Steve Jones of Spartanburg, SC; Wilma Housley of Copperhill, TN; nephews, Derrick Thomas, Austin Thomas and Greg Jones; nieces, Christy Stallcup, Tracey Duez, Tiffany Nixon and Chanda Jones also survive. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Glenn Buchanan officiating. Music was by Rev. Glenn and Judy Buchanan. Pallbearers were Jimmy Burger, John Jones, Derrick Thomas, Jeffery Clontz, Ray Queen and Chandler Queen. Interment followed in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery.
