The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Sandra Gene Hutcheson, age 57, of Ducktown, TN who passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010. Sandra was a native of the Copper Basin and was a daughter of the late Robert and Birdie Johnson Martin. She was a member of the Bethany Church and had worked as a machine operator with the Mohawk Carpet Company.She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Hutcheson of the home; one son Pat (Shawna) Hutcheson of Ducktown, TN; four step children, Lori Kwaple of Greensboro, NC, Cynda Sims of Kinsington, GA, Chris Hutcheson of East Ridge, TN, Jonnie Jones of East Ridge, TN; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive.A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, November 21, at 2:00 P.M. from the New Vision Church with Rev. Billy Waters and Rev. Fred Leslie officiating. Music will be by Back to Bethany. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in memory of Sandra, may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403 or to the Alhambra Shrine Transportation Fund, 1000 Alhambra Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421-3701.
