Mrs. Ruth Wilson Harper, age 91, of Mineral Bluff Highway "Pantertown" section of McCaysville, GA passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 in the Heritage Health Care Center in Blue Ridge, GA. Mrs. Harper was born in Fannin County, GA on October 11, 1920 to the late "Foxy" John Wilson and Mary Lively Wilson. She was a member of Pantertown Baptist Church and of the McCaysville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph Harper. She loved her family, cooking, and attending church activities. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Harper Mercier and her husband Tim Mercier of Blue Ridge; granddaughter, Melissa Lillard and her husband David Lillard of Blue Ridge and Amanda Harper Mercier and her husband Joey Foster of Blue Ridge; great grandchildren, Zachary Mercier Lillard, Annabel Lee Lillard, and Alexandria Grace Foster, all of Blue Ridge; brother, Ernest Wilson and his wife Shirley Wilson of Knoxville, TN; sisters-in-law, Laura Wilson of Chattanooga, TN and Ruth Bailey Harper of Mineral Bluff; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Parris officiating. Music was by Lucy McKinney. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Fred Wilson, David Wilson, Bob Wilson, Doug Wilson, Ralph Daniel Harper and Gary Harper. Interment followed in Pan-Will Cemetery.
