The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ann Cutcher, age 82, of Copperhill, TN who passed away February 19, 2011 in the Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN. Born in Polk County, TN she was the daughter of the late John and Ella Coleman Johnson. She was a former school teacher and later in life worked as the custodian for Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. Mrs. Cutcher was a long time member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. "Junior" Cutcher; one daughter, Vanessa Gail Cutcher; siblings, Cotton Johnson, Seldon Johnson, Buck Johnson, Bill Johnson, R.K. Coleman, Roy Johnson and Earl Johnson. Survivors include one son, Danny Cutcher of Postelle, TN; one daughter, Dianne Seabolt of McCaysville, GA; grandson, Chris Seabolt of McCaysville; and one brother, Ed Johnson of Postelle, TN. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Fisher and Rev. Al Patterson officiating. Music will be provided by Bob and Susie Nanny. Serving as pallbearers will be Les Nickle, Jackie "Noodles" Montgomery, Bob Nanny, Roy Cribbs, Dan Dale and L.W. Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Max Payne, Jim Davis, Pete Davis Guinn Fowler, Randall Ballew, Dr. Mahmood Siddiqui, Garland Fitzpatrick and members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Postelle, TN. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
