Ruth Ann (Deal) Curtis, age 47, of Blue Ridge, Ga., died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Baltimore Maryland, daughter of the late David and Frances Campbell Deal. Mrs. Curtis was employed by McCaysville Church of God, and was also a member of the McCaysville Church of God.She is survived by her husband David W. Curtis of the home, two sons, Joshua Curtis and his wife Ashley of Epworth, Ga., and Matthew Curtis of Blue Ridge, five brothers, David Deal of Epworth, Tony and his wife Felicia Deal of McCaysville, Bruce Deal of Copperhill, Troy and his wife Lisa Deal of McCaysville, Homer and his wife Valerie Deal of Copperhill, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wade and Floy Curtis of Epworth, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Virginia and Larry Dyer of Blue Ridge, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Cheryl Curtis of Epworth, nieces and nephews, Bethany, Caleb, Nathan, Isaac, Nicole, Natalie, Brittany, Ashley, Elijah, Cody, Ashlee, Kirby, Laura Curtis, Danny Walden, Jonathan Curtis and Jeremy Curtis.Funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the McCaysville Church of God with Rev. Chris Taylor officiating. Music will be by Danny Rhodes and Valerie Taylor. Pallbearers will be Nathan Dean, Randy Stewart, Ken Stuart, Spencer Kitchens, Jon Curtis, and Jeremy Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of the McCaysville Church of God, Members of the Fannin County EMS, Earl Satterfield and Kenny Stuart . Interment will be at Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek) Cemetery in Copperhill, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
