Mrs. Ruth Ann Queen, age 90, of Epworth, GA passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. Mrs. Queen was born on March 6, 1925 to the late Joseph Walter Galloway and Ollie Avery Ora Fisher Galloway. She spent her life as a housewife and a loving mother. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and attended Mobile Baptist Church. Mrs. Queen was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Queen and daughter, Rita Queen.She is survived by her sons; Albert L. (Sheila) Queen of Epworth, GA, Steve (Cherry) Queen of Douglasville, GA, Gary (Brenda) Queen of Epworth, GA, Michael Queen of Atlanta, GA, and Scott (Donna) Queen of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, J.H. Galloway of Warrenville, SC; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. James Howard Galloway and Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music will be by Barbara Cheatham and Martha Kries. Interment will follow in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentleman serving as pallbearers; Sean Queen, Patrick Murray, Earl Robinson, Joe Queen, Tommy Ledford, Gary Queen, and Ben Queen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Derrick Queen, Austin Queen, and Nick Robinson. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 5-9 PM.
