Mrs. Ruth J. Anderson, age 89, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in the Chatsworth Health Care Center in Chatsworth, GA. She was born on March 8, 1921 to the late Walton and Harriett McCeldry Owenby. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville, GA. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by sons, Sam Anderson, Robert Winston Anderson and daughter, Shirley Ruth Anderson. Survivors include sons, James Earl (Bud) and wife Anne of Eastpoint, FL, Ronnie G. Anderson of Ball Ground, GA; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Anderson of Morganton, GA; brothers, James Owenby of Acworth, GA and Roy Owenby of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Keith Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Barry Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Tim Anderson, Charlotte Graham, David Anderson, Jr., Rhonda Broom and Holly Martin and twenty great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Denny Hawkins officiating. Music was by Charlotte and David Anderson. Interment followed in the Concord Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Anderson, Michael Martin, Daniel Anderson, Darrell Broom, Ben Graham and Matthew Graham.
