Ruby Mae Queen, age 96, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Queen was born in Fannin County to the late Walter and Ollie Fisher Galloway. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Queen, son, Kenneth Queen and daughter, Revie Postelle. She is survived by son, Hoyle Grady Queen, Jr of Myrtle Beach, Sc; daughters, Loretta (Stan) Moore of Scottsboro, AL, Jean Murray of Chatsworth, GA; brother, J.H.(Ellen) Galloway of S.C.; sister, Ruth Queen of Epworth, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Queen and Rev. Duaine Griggs officiating. Music was provided by Martha Kreis and Carol Thomas. Pallbearers were Stephen Moore, Patrick Murray, Kris Queen, Bobby Queen, Matthew Crump and Keith Queen.
