The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Mrs. Ruby "Anita" Miller, age 63, of Ducktown, TN, who passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Memphis, TN. Anita was born in Fannin County, Georgia and was retired as a Respiratory Therapist. She was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church and a member of the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee Echota Fire. Anita was preceded in death by her father, Rockford Patterson.She is survived by her husband, Ronnie C. Miller of the home; one son, Keith and wife, Becky Miller of Ducktown, TN; Mother, Ruby Patterson of the Grassy Creek, TN area; two brothers, Alvin and wife Barbara Patterson and Carlton and wife, Susie Patterson, all of the Grassy Creek, TN area; one sister, Marilyn and husband Bobby Nicholson of Mineral Bluff, GA; brother-in-law, Greg and wife Chris Miller of Michigan; brother-in-law, Bill Miller of Texas; grandchildren, Brady, Brettleigh and Brooklyn Miller and Kori and Brittney Allen; Several nieces and nephews; Special friend, Kitty. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 16, at 2:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Music will be by Ava Smith and Mary Lou Davis. Pallbearers include Josh Patterson, Brian Arp, Edwin Patterson, Danny Patterson, Sid Arp and John Petty. Interment will follow in the Mt. View cemetery.
