Ruby Lee Baine, age 80, a resident of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Cohutta, GA and Copperhill, TN passed away Monday, March 4, 2019. Ruby was a Care Giver for the elderly and attended the Goodnews Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Burbon" and Effie Truelove Elrod; five brothers, Winford, Leonard, Virgil, Arthur and Clifford Elrod; sisters, Leona Gaddis and Lily Mae Elrod; one grandson, Chris Powers; one great grandchild, Ryan Hughes. She is survived by sons, Randall (Delilah) Baine of Cleveland, TN, Alfred (Cyndia) Baine, Jr of Cleveland, TN; daughter, Glenda Faye (Danny Lee) Crook of LaFayette, GA; seven grandchildren,Carol Powers, Bridget (Shane) Maroon, Phillip Hughes, Todd Hughes, Brian (Shauna) Baine, Tonya (Lane) Hironimus, Joe (Brandi) Baine, Tonya (Dusty) Findley; numerous great-grandchildren and one great -great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Min. Duane Hamby and Min. Joe Lockman officiating. Pallbearers include Phillip Hughes, Todd Hughes, Charles Elrod, Tommy Elrod, James Elrod, Steve Gaddis, Randall Jones and Duane Powell; Honorary pallbearers include, Tyler Hughes and Trevor Massengill. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church cemetery.
