The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Ruby Jewell Ash, age 85, of the Life Care Center of Ducktown who passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Ruby was born in Fannin County, GA to the late James Bascum and Susie Sisson Ash. She attended Riverside Baptist Church. She is survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, July 9, at 11:00 A.M. from the Pleasant Hill (Airport Road) Cemetery with Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. There will no visitation at the funeral home.
