Roy "Cat" Hammond Goss, Jr., age 71, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1952 in Copperhill, Tennessee to the late Roy Hammond Goss, Sr. and Ealie Payne Goss. Roy worked for many years for the Tennessee Copper Company as a railroad painter. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his chickens.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joy Bell Payne.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Timmy Payne, Angie Green, Carla Ruiz, Chris Payne, Clifford Payne, and Amanda Sharp; brother-in-law, John Henry Payne; and special friends, Chris Gravelly, Mia Golden, and Tina Golden.

Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. from the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.Pallbearers were Clifford Payne, Chris Payne, Timmy Payne, Jerry Whitehead, Randy Helton, and Terry McClure. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
