The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Rosemary Mills, age 85 of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at home. Mrs. Mills was born on June 30, 1926 in Miami, FL to the late Fred and Rose Stockhausen. She was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church and past member of Saint Michaels in Miami, FL. Mrs. Mills was a member of the following organizations, Saint Vincent Depaul Society, Good Samaritan and National Association Retired Federal Employees. She was retired from the United States Post Office as a postal supervisor. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, James Spalding Mill, Sr. and sister, Dorothy Gresham.She is survived by sons, James Mills of Miami, FL, Joe (Patty) Mills of St. Leonard, MD, John (Anna) Mills of Eagle, CO, Tom (AleJandra) Mills of Miami, FL, Mike Mills of Miami, FL and Bobby Mills of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters, Rose Marie (Rupert) Clarke of Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada and Susie (John) Gauzens of Miami, FL; brothers, Joe (Coe) Stockhausen of St. Claire, MI and Fred (Martha) Stockhausen of Miami, FL; sister, Mary Carol (Ron) O'Chipa of Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada; twenty-one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Steve Yender, Celebrant and assisted by Father John Conway, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Akins Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until the Wake Service at 8:00 p.m. with Father John Conway.
