Rosalee Russell, age 76 of Blue Ridge passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at home. She was born on December 21, 1942 in Blue Ridge to the late George Washington Beach and Mae Panter Beach. Mrs. Russell was a seamstress at Levi Strauss and Company. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Burl Junior Curtis "B.J." and Joe Donovan Russell; brother, Junior Beach and sister, Martha Jean Loving. Survivors are children, Glenn Curtis (Suzan) of Chatsworth, Debbie Plush (Raymond) of Epworth, Tim Curtis of Rome and Lisa Shields of Epworth; brother, James Beach (Betty) of Blue Ridge; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Carroll of Blue Ridge and Loravee Anderson of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Philip Adam Curtis, Jesse Aaron Curtis, Brandon Plush, Andrew Plush, Sarah Elizabeth Goodwin, Stephen Patrick Burl Curtis, Daniel Shields, Gracey Pierce and Jonah Pierce and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jim Crews and Rev. Billy Ray Queen officiating. Music was by Ricky Beach and Randy Beach. Interment followed in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
