Ronnie Lane Ray, age 62, of Blue Ridge passed away on October 15, 2026. Ronnie was born in Copperhill, TN to the late W.B. Ray and the late Cora Belle Harrison Ray. Ronnie worked for many years as a skilled arborist. He loved being outdoors and planting flowers. He is best known for walking his beloved dog, Jake (who often held the flashlight for them), around town.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Steve Ray.

He is survived by his siblings, Mike Ray, Jerry Ray, James Ray, Christine (Jackie) Chastain, Linda (Gary) Hardman, and Stanley Ray; he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other family members.

There are no formal services planned at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to help defray Ronnie's final expenses and to help offset Jakes continued care.
