Mr. Ronnie Farrell Nelson, age 51, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, January 21, 1008 at his home. He was born in Cherokee County, GA on January 1, 1958. He worked as a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Diana Nelson of Blue Ridge, GA; son, William Nelson of Blue Ridge; stepson, Johnny Garrett of Jasper, GA; parents, Farrell and Dorothy Nelson of Morganton; sister, Sheila Otto of Jasper, GA; and three step-grandchildren, Johnny Garrett, Jr., Hope Garrett, and Cody Garrett. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton officiating. Music was by The Kenny O'Neal Family. Pallbearers were Frankie Brown, Kenny O'Neal, Austin O'Neal, Johnny Garrett, Sr., Johnny Garrett, Jr., and George Rampley. Honorary pallbearer was Gerald Orr. Interment followed in the Mt.
