Mr. Ronnie "Chin" Loftis, age 63, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away April 29, 2014 in Andrews, NC. Born in Yancey County, NC he was the son of the late Ettie Jones and William Justus Loftis. He was a member of the Andrews Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death are four brothers, Kenneth, Arnold, Jerry and Sonny Loftis. Survivors include his two sisters, Mary Jane Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA and Helen Norton of Morganton, GA; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patrick O'Dell and Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Music will be provided by the Farmer Family. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Norton, Billy Elkins, Earl Caine, David Hicks, Lee Loftis and William Loftis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Billy Messer, Buck Messer, Danny Messer, Richard Messer, Benny Messer, Gary Linderman and Mike Anderson. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
