Ronnie Cochran, age 67, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in Jasper. He was born on October 31, 1956, in Dalton, to the late James Otis Cochran and Retha Victoria Watson. He served in the United States Navy. Later, he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger Cochran, Norman Cochran, and Robert Cochran; and sister-in-law, Linda Cochran.

He is survived by his siblings, Ann (Clifford) Stanley, Charles Cochran, Dale Cochran, Donnie (Nancy) Cochran, Linda Mae (Randy) Burgess; sister-in-law, Katherine Cochran; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Grayson Jones and Rev. Jimmy Green officiating. A private interment was held in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Mineral Bluff. Pallbearers were Danny Cochran, Josh Reece, Brian Cochran, Jeff Stanley, Clifford Stanley, and Randy Burgess. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Allen, Zack Allen, Nick Cochran, and Ronan Cochran. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
