The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Ronald Jack "Ronnie" Williams, age 63, of McCaysville, GA, who passed away Friday, June 27, 2008. Ronnie was a son of the late Julius Hobert and Josephine Nazareth Williams. He was retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company where he worked as a Supply Clerk. He was Vice President of the local Chemical Workers Union in Copperhill and was a member of the McCaysville Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Betty Williams of the home. One daughter, Rhonda Williams Nelson of Cumming, GA; two grandchildren, Lyndsey Nelson and Lauryn Nelson. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge, P.O. Box 2126, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
