Mr. Ronald Thomas Twiggs ("Mushy"), age 68, of Blue Ridge, GA went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Born March 22, 1948 at the Tennessee Copper Company Hospital to the late Johnny Thomas Twiggs and Kathreen (Whitlow) Twiggs. Ronny was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. By trade he was a machinist starting his working years at Cities Service Company in Copperhill,TN and retiring from Chart Industries in Canton, GA. In addition to his trade, he played guitar, loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, woodworking, and carpentry.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Paulette Twiggs; son, Jonathan Twiggs, his wife Janet, and their children Lindsey, Leanne and Ava; daughter, Jennifer Duncan, her husband Ed Duncan, and their children Ethan and Emily Duncan; two brothers and one sister, Charles Twiggs, Gary Twiggs, and Karen Dye; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Clifton Patterson and Rev. Billy Ray Queen officiating. Music will be by the Helping Hands Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Gene Twiggs, Doug Grizzle, David Arp, Joe Breeden, Jeremy Twiggs, and Matthew Dye. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
