Ronald Keith Stillwell, age 86, of Copperhill passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2023 at his home. Ronald was born April 17, 1937 to the late Broughton Author and Essie Patterson Stillwell. Ronald was in the first graduating class of West Fannin High School in 1956. He was also the first student of West Fannin High School to receive a football scholarship. He loved being outdoors, camping, spending time with his family and especially boating on Lake Blue Ridge. However, most of all he loved the Lord and always made going to church his families' first priority. He was a devoted member to Riverside Baptist Church. Ronald was very social and loved fellowship with friends and especially his family.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Vivian Helton and Gloria Moyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sue Stillwell of the home; children, Tim (Tinker) Stillwell of Ellabell, GA, Felicia (Tony) Deal of Copperhill, and Cindy (Tyke) Prince of Copperhill; grandchildren, Ashley (Marcus) Head, Timmy (Lindsay) Stillwell, Amy (Derek) Allen, Breanna (Brandon) Plush, Cody Deal, Elijah (Sara) Deal, and Katrina Stillwell; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Head, Conrad Head, Sydney Stillwell, Rowen Allen, Millie Sue Allen, Eli Plush, Tinsley Plush, Aubree Plush, Charlotte Deal, Dawson Deal, Abby Deal, Connor Deal, Author Edward Deal, Anita Jane Byrd, Demetri Byrd, and Dre'dyn Byrd.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Tyke Prince and Rev. Gary Queen officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Timmy Stillwell, Cody Deal, Elijah Deal, Marcus Head, Derek Allen, and Brandon Plush. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Deal, Brian Bradburn, Scottie Newberry, Corbin Head, Conrad Head, Eli Plush, Rowen Allen, Tommy Ledford, Larry King, Gay Hamby, and Doug Stiles.
