February 17, 1946 – September 22, 2024
Ronald Shuler, age 78, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Canton's Northside Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on February 17, 1946 in Epworth, GA to his late parents, Lawnie and Estelle Dunn Shuler. He was also preceded in death by his brother Glenn, his brother Robert (Lorene), his sister, Betty Allen, and his sister, Berthel (L.C) Stafford.
Ronald was a Vietnam Army Veteran, serving from 1968-1970, earning the rank of Specialist 4. He worked for many years at Cities Service Company & Tennessee Chemical Company in the Railroad Paint Shop. He also enjoyed working on his bulldozers and backhoe. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth & John Klamer and Amanda & William Skinner;Grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren, Kayla, Dakota, and Jeremiah; great-grandchildren, Henry, Isabella, and Kairi. Sister-in-laws, Carolyn Shuler, Christine Barker; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Charles and Sharon Davenport, Shirley and Freddie Wright, and Sheila and Eddie Ash; aunt, Esther Newton; numerous nieces & nephews, and friend, Glen Foster.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge, with a funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Music was provided by Alex and Angie Deal and Ivy Payne. Eulogy was presented by nephew, Paul Allen. 23rd Psalm was presented by Lloyd Payne. Interment followed at the Patterson Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the United States Army. Pallbearers were grandsons, nephews, and friends: Richard Deal and Justin Foster. Honorary pallbearers were friends: Wesley Payne, Joe Ballew, and Lloyd Payne.
