Mr. Ronald Lynn Russell, age 60, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Born in Fannin County, he was the son of the late John Benjamin Russell and Lois C. Russell. He worked for the State of Georgia in the social services department as a psychologist. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.He is survived by his brother, Mike Russell of Epworth and his sister Barbara Patterson of Ducktown, TN.Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was by Carol Thomas and Charlotte Brown. Pallbearers were conducted Charles Thomas, Danny Johnson, Jim Jones, Justin Russell, Tim Patterson, and Johnny Hughes. The staff of Heritage Health Care served as honorary escort. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements. .
