Ronald Denver Miller, age 73, of Farner, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Copper Basin Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in the Copper Basin area on October 16, 1949, to the late Amos Miller and Abby Jaunita Womble Miller. He was of the Church of God faith and worked many years as a logger.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, David Lamar Hall and Devin Chase Panter; and siblings, Evelyn Miller (Leon) Ledford, Jackie Miller, Danny Ray Miller, and Janice Miller Parks.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Calla Mae Miller; children, James Denver Miller, Melissa Diane (Jimmy) Witt, and Tammy Yvonne (John) Pyle; grandchildren, Tashina Diane Panter (Ryan Galloway), Mataya Tavonne (Daniel) Rasar; great granddaughter, Magnolia Ray Rasar; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Pat Miller and sister and brother-in-law, Ellen Miller and John Grizzell.

Funeral services were held on Sunday July 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Music was provided by Josh Griggs. Interment followed in the Old Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mickey Bryant, Ryan Galloway, Frankie Womble, Roger Hampton, Jackie Chastain, and Jimmy Witt. Honorary pallbearers were James Miller, John Pyle, Josh Griggs, John Grizzell, Johnnie Milsaps, Eddie Pelfrey, and Bill Payne. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
