Ronald Carl Cearley, better known as "Buck", age 68, of Blue Ridge, GA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Jasper, GA. Ronald was born on April 4, 1957 in McCaysville, GA to the late William Carl Cearley and Billie Jean Stuart Cearley. He was a man of faith and a dedicated member of the McCaysville Church of God. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening and always had a story to tell about those passions. He was a devoted husband, father, and "Paw" to his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death includes his parents; sisters, Frances Pelfrey and Midge Stone; niece, Heather Payne; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny and Claudette Gray.

Survivors include his loving wife, Denise Gray Cearley; children and their spouses, Brandon and Amanda Long, Ella Brannon , Anthony and Kala Messer and Timothy and Kimberly Brannon; sister, Patsy Payne; 12 grandchildren; and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Steve Lamb and Rev. Mike Cole officiating. Music was provided by Dewayne Housley and Roy Tipton. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as honorary pallbearers: Cash Wright, Brandon Long, Jaden Long, Cohutta Brannon, Robert Messer, Braylin Merrell and Easton Merrell. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the serivce from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
