Roger Leon Hensley, age 84 of Turtletown, TN passed away on June 16, 2023 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Ducktown, TN he was the son of the late Ralph W. and Edna Lorene Payne Hensley. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Roger began his long career of forty plus years of truck driving working for Chemical Leaman Tanklines and retiring from K&S Tanklines. He enjoyed outdoor activities including camping, fishing, boating, hunting and driving motorcyles and jeeps. Roger is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dennis Ronald Hensley.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sue Ellen Plemmons Hensley of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Eddie Stiles and Beverly Hensley Kimsey all of Turtletown, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Burger, Devon Kimsey and Peyton Kimsey.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Randy Hooper family. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Devon Kimsey, Peyton Kimsey, Steve Kimsey, Kevin Thomas, Zane Chancey and Kenny Stuart. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Glen Hughes, Larry Kimsey, Joe Ballew, Jeff Smith, R.M. Collins, Larry Patterson and Mike Worley.
