Mr. Robert Lee Verner, age 79, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Fannin Regional Hospital. He was a native of Cherokee County, NC, son of the late John Taylor Verner and Abbie L. Hancock Verner. Mr. Verner was a retired truck driver with Fleet Transport. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist Faith.He is survived by his wife Donna Lynn (Stiles) Verner of the home; three daughters, Donna Chambers of Acworth, GA, Deborah Dobbs of Woodstock, GA, Tonya Allen of Epworth, GA; one son, Terry Verner of Hendersonville, TN; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial service was at Akins Chapel at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, with Rev. Billy Ray Queenofficiating. Music was provided by the Beach Family.
