Mr. Robert Lloyd "Bob" Taylor,of Dallas, GA and formerly of Soddy Daisy, TN passed away on March 27, 2022 in Austell, GA. He was born in Ducktown, TN to the late Windom Lloyd Taylor and Ursula Reba Shillings Taylor on August 28, 1938. He was of veteran of the United States Army serving from 1956 - 1959. Bob was also a member of the Refuge Assembly of God in Soddy Daisy, TN. He was retired from the United States Post Office after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Elizabeth Payne Taylor; son, Theodore Olan Taylor; and brother, Charles Taylor. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Stephen Lloyd and Jennifer Taylor of Dallas, GA, Johnathan Michael and Marissa Taylor of Box Springs, GA, Jacqueline Michele Chitwood of Lithia Springs, GA and Suzanna L. Shockley of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy H. and Karen Taylor of Dothan, AL; sisters and one brother-in-law, Alma Grace Winkler of Tunnel Hill, GA, Vondell Marshall, and Rita Sue and Larry Farner all of Cohutta, GA; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Stephen Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dylan Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Clayton Shockley, Andrew Shockley, Logan Taylor and Seaver Taylor. The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to a Humane Society or any animal rescue organization of your choice.
