Mr. Robert Jewel Simonds, age 88, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was born on June 14, 1930 to the late James Simonds and Margaret Jane Witherow Simonds. He retired from General Motors, where he worked in Assembly. He is survived by his sons, Robert Simonds and Glen Simonds of Griffin, GA; daughter, Lisa Ann Adkerson of Milner, GA; sister, Faye Addison of Epworth, GA; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Pastor Kenny Housley officiating.
