Mr. Robert Lee McDaniel, age 56, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his home. Mr. McDaniel was born on June 11, 1959 in Polk County, TN. He worked as a supervisor for Kismet Products. He was a member of Mobile Baptist Church. He liked hunting, fishing, and riding his Tennessee Walking Horses and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by parents, J.D. and Ruby McDaniel and brother, Carl McDaniel He is survived by his wife, Christie McDaniel of Blue Ridge, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee McDaniel, Jr. and Julie McDaniel of Blue Ridge, GA and Juston Timothy McDaniel and Michelle Benson of Blue Ridge; stepson, Matthew Brown of Blue Ridge; stepdaughters, Amanda Brown and Andrea Brown, both of Blue Ridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Joan McDaniel of Wyandotte, MI and Steve and Mildred McDaniel of Epworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Paul Hunter of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, J.T. McDaniel, Jr., Jason McDaniel, Riley McDaniel, Ruby McDaniel, and Hazel Brown. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Phillip Thomas, Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Rev. Denny Hawkins officiating. Music was be by Edward Vest and Nancy Chancey. Pallbearers were John Adams, Tyler Adams, Tyler Hicks, Richard West, Vance Harris, and Brandon Walden. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Davenport, Roger Adams, Bill Olgilvie, Brett Chastain, Fred Rhodes, Colin Harnage, Eddie Bingham, Anthony Walden, and Mitchell Patterson.
