Robert Edwin "Bob" Lewis, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1953 to the late Edwin "Eddie" Lewis and Margaret Guenther Lewis of Isabella, TN. Along with his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his two brothers, Brian Lewis and Chris Lewis, both of Isabella, TN.

Robert was a 1971 graduate of Copper Basin High School. After completing his schooling, he went on to serve an apprenticeship and became a licensed machinist. He worked as a machinist for 43 years and retired from TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, TN. He retired four years ago due to health issues.

Robert was a licensed minister with the Church of God and was a member of the McCaysville Church of God. He loved the Lord and he loved his family- especially his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time on the water.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marline Dills Lewis of the home; children, Nathaniel Lewis of Blue Ridge and Nichole Lewis Wilson of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Amberlee Dawn Lewis of Dalton, Anneliese Saleen Watts of Blue Ridge, and Hunter "Roush" Watts of Blue Ridge; siblings, Alvin (Debi) Lewis of Wichita, KS, Don (Margaret) Lewis of Isabella, TN, and Amy Lewis-Geren of Ducktown, TN; he is also survived by his nieces and nephews, friends, and other family members.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Todd Geren, Rev. Alan Kea, and Nathan Lewis officiating. Music was provided by Renee Watkins and Brenda Lunsford. Burial  followed the service in the Chastain Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Seth Womble, Travis Geren, Todd Geren, Stephen Lewis, Jason Lewis, and Will Watkins. Friends visited the family on Sunday evening from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
