The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Robert Keener Dillard, age 78, of McCaysville, Ga. who passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, Tenn. Mr. Dillard was a retired truck driver and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Hardscrabble Road in Mineral Bluff, Ga. He was a member of the Mineral Bluff Lodge # 483 F&AM and was a Past Master with the Ocoee Lodge. He was a Korean Veteran serving in the U.S.Army. He was a son of the late John William and Hettie Truelove Dillard.He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Diane (Dillard) Fox of Nebo, NC; Siblings Francis Hawkins of Mineral Bluff, Ga. and Johnny Dillard, Jr. of AL; Sister-in-law-Clarise Dillard of Mineral Bluff, Ga., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 22, at 1:00 P.M. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Ernest German and Rev .Charles Black officiating. Music will be by Bill Butterworth, Ethel Pittman and Connie Davis.
