Mr. Robert Eugene "Gene" Brown, age 77, of Scottsmoor, FL passed away April 14, 2011. He was the son of the late Charles and Oasel Foster Brown. Mr. Brown was also preceded in death by his brother Tunney Brown. Survivors include his wife Pat Brown of Scottsmoor, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Deborah Brown of Greensboro, NC; brother, Jack Brown of Kingston, TN; sister, Susie McAbee of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Robin Brown-Blake of Tallahassee, FL and Kelly Hill of Landis, NC; great grandchildren, Alex and Aaron Hill of Landis, NC and Sophia Brown-Blake of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-laws, Charlotte Brown of Epworth, GA and Alice Griner of Seffner, FL.Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Elvan Brooks, Daniel Blake, Bob Mathis, G.W. Mathis, W.T.
