Robert Walter Exley, age 72 of Turtletown, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at his home. He was born in Charleston, S.C. to the late Walter Exley and Edith Stepp Exley . He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired Electrician with the Seven-Eleven. He also worked at Branan Lodge in Union County for the past twelve years retiring in December 2018. He is survived by his wife of 38 yrs, Maxine Brinthaupt Exley; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Michelle and Shane Brown and Colleen and Ron Johnson; Sisters Francis Vann, Deborah Crisp and Brother Van Exley; Five Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Akins Funeral Home, Copperhill, TN. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
