Robert Earnest Arp, age 45, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away at home after a short illness on Jan 29, 2021. He was born in Fulton County GA, but always had ties to Blue Ridge where he spent much of his time over the years with his late grandparents, Carl & Jean Arp and late aunt, Carla Jean Arp. Robert is also preceded in death by his father, Earnest "Butch" Arp; and step farther, Johnny Hayes; and a nephew, Andrew Arp. He was saved as an 11 year old and became a member of Bethel Baptist church in Bethlehem, GA. He is survived by his daughter, Isabel Arp of Atlanta, GA; mother, Carol Hayes of Blue Ridge, GA; brother and sister in law, Richard and Stacy Arp of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Cindy Hayes and partner, Paige Hood, of Ruthledge, GA; niece, Alana Arp; nephews, James Arp and Matthew Harmon. Robert is also survived by uncles, Lamar Underwood, Steve Underwood; aunt and Uncle, Wanda and Dale Cochran; cousins, Tim and Karen Underwood, Tina and Doug Allen and Tara Underwood; and other cousins and relatives and friends. Memorial Services were Saturday, February 13, 2021 from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Blue Ridge GA with Pastor Chris Rumfelt of First Freewill Baptist Church of Hayesville, NC officiating.
