Obituary

Robert James Cochran, age 79, of the Etowah Health Care in Etowah, TN, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007. Mr. Cochran was a son of the late James McKinley & Missouria Dillard Cochran and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. He was retired as a carpenter in construction having worked for the Foster Marine Brothers Construction Company.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Cochran of Athens, TN, James Edward & wife, Twana Cochran of Athens, TN; one daughter, Mary Lisa Brackins of Madisonville, TN; two brothers, Everett Cochran of Farner, TN, Lester Cochran of Ormond Beach, FL; one sister, Blanche Johnson of Dalton, GA; and a special nephew, Kenny Cochran. Four grandchildren, Christopher Keith Cochran, Jocelyn Gabrielle Cochran, Carley Allison Cochran and Garrison McKinley Brackins.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Pallbearers included Hawk Taylor, Clyde Rose, Austin Whitener, Steve Adams, Hoyt Taylor, Ray Adams, David Taylor and Daryl Door. Interment followed in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
