Robert Joe "Bob" Adams, age 88, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1935, in Epworth, to the late Joe Nathan Adams and Annie Mae Styles Adams. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked many years for the Tennessee Chemical Company as a Repairman. Bob was a member of Hipps Chapel Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Mary Ellen Gilliam Adams; and brother, Charles William Adams.

Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kristy Adams; grandson and his wife, Michael and Nicole Adams; great-grandchildren, Allison Adams, Sawyer Adams, Brooklyn Adams, and Peyton Adams; sister-in-law, Margaret (Darrell) Bennett; brother-in-law, James (Leigh) Gilliam; nephew, Greg (Jan) Adams; nieces, Candace Diaz and Joanne Lewis; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was provided by Darrell Bennett. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens with Michael Adams serving as pallbearer. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Monday Evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
