Robbie J. Chambers Metz, age 69, of Nicholasville, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2018. Her immediate cause of death was a rare disease called "Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension" brought on by scleroderma. Robbie was born March 9, 1949 in Ramhurst, GA to Robert N. and Bonnie (West) Chambers as the last of five girls. She married Delmus "Del" F. Metz at her family home on July 29, 1967. She had a career in cosmetology after obtaining the certification of Master Cosmetologist from Dalton Cosmetology College. She and Del had their first home in Lithia Springs, GA and later moved to Carnesville, GA where they both eventually retired. After 48 years of marriage she became a widow then she was a live in caregiver to some of her older sisters until her home was finished in Kentucky. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville, GA but more recently she enjoyed attending the Providence Community Church in Lexington, KY. She will be remembered by her children Delbert (Joyelle) Metz of Buford, GA and Rocky (Andrea) Metz of Nicholasville, KY, grandchildren Bonnie (Chris) Neuman, Carrie (Scott) Crossfield, Alexa, London, Luke, Whitney, Morgan, Sierra and Bailey Metz, siblings Bernita Taylor of Orange Park, FL, Geneva (James) King of Chatsworth, GA, June (Tommy) Hughes of Meridian, MS along with 2 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 5 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband along with her sister Juanita Chambers. Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Prospect Baptist Church at 2487 Hardscrabble Rd. Mineral Bluff, GA 30559. Billy Brown will officiate.
