Rita Kaye Snow Spellins, age 57, of Copperhill, TN passed away on May 12, 2021, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on May 28, 1963 in Muleshoe, Texas to the late Charles Edward Snow and Ruth Thomas Snow, however she was raised by Hazel and Danny Gilpin. Mrs. Spellins was talented gardener, skilled cook, and co-owned many businesses with her husband throughout her lifetime. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will always be remembered for her kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and overall compassionate nature. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Krista Spellins, Gina Spellins, April Spellins, and Destiny Spellins. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Austin Spellins, Kaylie Taylor, Trinity Stuart, Luke Irons, Bo Irons, Hannah Allen, SeAnna Allen, Trent Stuart, and Danny Smith, as well as her siblings Leala Lucky, Freida Downy, Clifford Snow, and Earl Snow, and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister Treala Carpenter, and her husband of 41 years. Mrs. Spellins died a widow and we can all be assured that she was ready for her sweet reunion with her lifelong best friend, partner, and soulmate, Paul David Spellins. The family will receive friends and exchange memories on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home in Copperhill, TN.
