Ricky Lynn Mashburn, 50, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away at his home on Monday, August 3, 2026.

He was born on March 4, 1976, in Copperhill, Tennessee. Ricky was the son of Rev. Hubert Wayne Mashburn and Jeanette Marie Collis Mashburn.

Ricky had a love for music and especially enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Known for his playful sense of humor, he loved teasing family and friends. He was also a fan of westerns and cherished spending time outdoors, particularly camping and fishing.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Hubert Wayne Mashburn.

He is survived by his daughters, Holly Boyce (Adam) and Hannah Mashburn; mother, Jeanette Mashburn; grandchildren, Ezra Boyce and Emma Boyce; girlfriend, Kathy Stiles; siblings, Jimmy Mashburn (Bobbie), Billy Mashburn, and David Mashburn (Tammy); and nieces and nephews, Christina Owens, Megan Choi, Matthew Mashburn, Jordan Mashburn, Brittany Mashburn, and Kayli Mashburn.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Craig O'Neal officiating. Music was provided by the New Antioch Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in the Barnes Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Jimmy Mashburn, Billy Mashburn, David Mashburn, Matthew Mashburn, Jordan Mashburn, and David Owens. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Beaver, Jerry Dickson, Landin Owens, and Adam Boyce. The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Georgia on Thursday evening, August 6, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
