Mr. Richard Guinn "Rick" Reid, age 52, of Turtletown, TN, passed away May 14, 2019 in Blue Ridge, GA. He was born in Copperhill, TN on December 13, 1966. He worked as a truck driver at Builders First Source in Blairsville, GA, and was a member of Legacy Community Church. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, spending time with his Grandchildren, and serving the Lord! He is survived by his wife Tammy Reid: Children and Spouses Zackery & Ivy Reid, Brendan Allen, Amber & Noel Loera, Drew & Sarah Payne, Mallory & Eric Sisson, and Lindsey & Tim Allison; mother, Janice Reid; father, Louis Reid and wife Melinda; Brother, Mark & wife Cindy Reid; and Grandchildren, Hayden Reid, Kason Reid, Lakelyn Reid, Stella Reid, Elsa Payne, Carter Johnson, Will Allison, Sawyer Loera, and River Allen. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Mark Reid, Min. Calvin Murphy, Min Clayton Reeves, and Min. Farris Reid officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Randy Cole, Bryan Cole, Channon Morrow, Gary Crain, Colton Hogsed, and Steve Hines. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Cole, Jaime Riden, Brendan Allen, Trevor Reid, Tyler Duggan and Tanner Wilcox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at Mt Carmel Baptist fellowship hall (560 Hiwassee Dam Access Rd, Murphy, NC) to continue the celebration of Rick's life.
